The details

A pink cap and aqua barrel, with contrasting accents and a beak-shaped clip.

A Beaklet is a refillable writing instrument. Ink flows from the converter through the feed to the nib, then onto your page.

Box contents

Each box contains one Beaklet pen, two ink cartridges and an instruction booklet with guidance on setting up, using and caring for your pen.

The story

A flamingo moves through aqua water. Ripples redraw the scene around it. Sometimes you find the story by following whatever moves next.

Miami pairs a pink cap with an aqua barrel and contrasting details. The Beaklet clip carries the Hornbill into a brighter combination.

Keep a little space for whatever comes next: a rough scene, a quick sketch, a sentence with the ending still missing. You can work that part out on the page.

the little details.

The bird in the design

Our clip takes its shape from a Hornbill’s beak. A small detail that brings the story into the Beaklet.

The ink on the page

Ink travels through the feed to the nib, where the next line begins.

Room for another thought

The converter draws ink from a bottle so you can refill and keep writing.

Checked before it leaves us

Every Beaklet is inspected, from the nib to the finish, before it leaves us.

The inspiration

Then the camera turned towards him.

The filmmaker from Miami arrives in Dandeli looking for movement. Water, forest, flight. Then the Hornbill cuts across the frame. The camera follows.

For the first time in our story, the observer has become the thing someone else notices.

The Hornbill has learned enough to take the story somewhere of his own.

A little help

Get to know your Beaklet.

How does a Beaklet write?

A Beaklet is a refillable writing instrument. Ink flows from the converter through the feed to the nib, then onto your page.

Which nib should I choose?

Every Beaklet comes with a choice of two nib grades: Fine (F) and Extra Fine (EF). A finer nib makes a narrower line; a broader nib leaves a wider one. Your handwriting, paper and ink also affect how the line looks.

If you are unsure, tell us how you like to write. We will help you understand the available options.

What ink should I use?

Use ink made for refillable writing instruments with a nib and feed. Other inks can clog the feed and interrupt the flow.

When changing ink colours, clean the Beaklet first so the old ink does not mix with the new one.

Can I use cartridges?

Please check the compatible cartridge format listed for your edition. Cartridges and converters need to fit the Beaklet correctly. If you are unsure, ask us before choosing a refill.
