The bird in the design
Our clip takes its shape from a Hornbill’s beak. A small detail that brings the story into the Beaklet.
The ink on the page
Ink travels through the feed to the nib, where the next line begins.
Room for another thought
The converter draws ink from a bottle so you can refill and keep writing.
Checked before it leaves us
Every Beaklet is inspected, from the nib to the finish, before it leaves us.
The inspiration
The forest looked random. She disagreed.
The textile designer from Marrakech watches the forest in Dandeli. Leaves, feathers, bark, river ripples. The Hornbill sees several different things. She begins finding the same shapes in all of them.
A few observations become a pattern.
The Hornbill takes another look. Suddenly, the forest seems to have been repeating itself all along.

Bab AgnaouA carved stone gate from the twelfth century that once led into the royal kasbah.
The PalmeraieThousands of date palms grow in this oasis just outside the old city walls.

A little help
Get to know your Beaklet.
How does a Beaklet write?
A Beaklet is a refillable writing instrument. Ink flows from the converter through the feed to the nib, then onto your page.
Which nib should I choose?
Every Beaklet comes with a choice of two nib grades: Fine (F) and Extra Fine (EF). A finer nib makes a narrower line; a broader nib leaves a wider one. Your handwriting, paper and ink also affect how the line looks.
If you are unsure, tell us how you like to write. We will help you understand the available options.
What ink should I use?
Use ink made for refillable writing instruments with a nib and feed. Other inks can clog the feed and interrupt the flow.
When changing ink colours, clean the Beaklet first so the old ink does not mix with the new one.
Can I use cartridges?
Please check the compatible cartridge format listed for your edition. Cartridges and converters need to fit the Beaklet correctly. If you are unsure, ask us before choosing a refill.
