A Beaklet is a refillable writing instrument. Ink flows from the converter through the feed to the nib, then onto your page.

Start with the one that catches your attention. Each edition carries its own story through its colours and inspiration. Open the product page to explore the design and check its writing options.

You might recognise a place. You might simply like the way two colours sit together. Both are good beginnings.

Every Beaklet comes with a choice of two nib grades: Fine (F) and Extra Fine (EF). A finer nib makes a narrower line; a broader nib leaves a wider one. Your handwriting, paper and ink also affect how the line looks.

If you are unsure, tell us how you like to write. We will help you understand the available options.

Use ink made for refillable writing instruments with a nib and feed. Other inks can clog the feed and interrupt the flow.

When changing ink colours, clean the Beaklet first so the old ink does not mix with the new one.

Please check the compatible cartridge format listed for your edition. Cartridges and converters need to fit the Beaklet correctly. If you are unsure, ask us before choosing a refill.

When changing ink colours, after the Beaklet has been unused for a few weeks, or when the writing becomes dry or uneven. A rinse can help clear dried ink from the feed.

Remove the converter or cartridge and empty any remaining ink. Flush the nib section with room-temperature water until it runs clear.

If ink has dried inside, soak the nib section in clean water for a few hours, then rinse again. Shake off excess water gently and let the section dry on a soft cloth before refilling.

Avoid hot water, alcohol, bleach and household cleaners.

Keep the cap on when you are not writing. For a longer break, clean the Beaklet and store it empty, dry and capped.

When carrying it, keep the nib pointing up where possible. Your pockets will appreciate the consideration.

Check that it has ink and try a light touch on the page. If the Beaklet has been unused or the flow is uneven, clean the nib section and refill it.

If the problem continues, contact us with your order details and a description of what is happening. Avoid bending the nib or attempting a repair yourself.

Pre-orders will be dispatched within 10-12 days from the pre-order.

We currently deliver across India. Once dispatched, orders are typically delivered within 4-7 business days, depending on the delivery location.

Free shipping is available on all orders. Cash on delivery orders carry a ₹50 convenience fee.

Orders can be cancelled until they have been shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation will no longer be possible.

Yes. Gift wrapping and a card are available for ₹100 per Beaklet. Choose “Make this a gift” on the product page and add a note for the recipient.

Returns can be requested within 7 days from the date of delivery, subject to the applicable return conditions.

Any damaged or defective Beaklet must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

We found a small resemblance between a bird’s beak and the nib of a writing instrument. It stayed with us. The Hornbill became part of our design and the curious character at the heart of our story.
